The Problem Statement definition is the initial step to identify the improvement
opportunities in operation, to eliminate waste in the products or services, and all
else that does not reflect only the value the customer is willing to pay for due to its
focus on detecting errors before/after delivering the products and services to the
customer.
Even more importantly, the Problem Statement definition helps the Root Cause
Analysis process; To learn from the previous performance and to develop
strategies to improve the quality, reliability, and financial performance.
